I hate this house.

It's cold, sick, disgusting, dusty, and lonely. And it reeks of my mother.

But it's a safe place where you can rest.

What the hell is wrong with me, Remus?

No idea, Sirius. I wish I knew so we could solve your problem.

I think a big part of my problem is being bored stiff, frustrated with the situation, and angry that I can't do anything about it.

So in other words, you're in the same situation that you were in before your death. Correct?

I'd offer to visit you for a while. But with Dora working double shifts due to the recent kidnappings, I'm taking care of the kids by myself. Not to mention I'm still supposed to be recovering frmo my own ordeal and getting caught up on things from work.

Pretty much, yeah.

Well, you could always bring the kids over here, and I could help out. As you and Tonks are saying it's... "safe."

Or I could draw another picture of my mother, pin it to the wall, and play magical darts some again. Either way is fine with me.

No offense mate? But after all the complaining you've done about Grimmauld and the fact that I actually lived there for a while with you, it just really isn't a good environment for children. It might be safe for the adults, but I'm not so certain about two small kids. Your family kept some very nasty trinkets.

That works. And last time I checked, it could actually be fairly entertaining. Why not just throw darts at her actual portrait though?

As much as it pains me to say it, Grimmauld is probably one of the safest places to be right now. With people snatching wizards off the streets, I'd want a place like that to hole up in. I hate the atmosphere of that palce as much as the next person and that stupid troll foot umbrella stand! PLEASE tell me you got rid of that thing!.

You could slap some paint on the walls and lights some scented candles? Set fire to it?

That old Witch charmed the walls against paint, marker, crayon, charcoal, and dirt when I was four.

Yes, safe is wonderful, but what's the point in being safe if I don't get the chance to live?

Hm. Yeah. Your Mum was a pretty batty old cow from all I've heard. Her portrait was certainly fond of me.

Well, if you're safe, you get the chance to stay alive so you can get to the point where you can live. I don't think anyone is living much right now... we're all on our toes.

Or you could come here, pick me up, and I could help you in your search. You can't tell me I wouldn't be an asset.

...'pick you up'? Why would I need to pick you up? You could just meet me somewhere. Granted, we aren't doing a lot of foot searching right now because we don't have leads. Starting from scratch again.

Not to mention... haven't you been trying to stay 'in hiding'? I think you suddenly showing up with the Aurors would have a very odd look to it. Though I suppose you could Padfoot around some of the locations people were taken and see if your nose picks up something we can't.

Sirius? Why don't you come stay with me and Ted for a bit? At least Walburga won't be watching you here.

Andy, I really appreciate the invitation, but I feel as if I've been passed around amongst relatives like an old bottle of rum. "Who has the Sirius this week? Oh, must be Aunt Philippa. So next month he's scheduled to go and stay with Portypants and Wibblejaw."

No, I've got to just make a place for myself. Harry and Ginny certainly don't need me around, and I'm not keen on being sent off to someone else just because I hate this house.

I wouldn't mind visiting, but I really do need to make a home for myself here.

Sirius! Don't think of yourself like an old bottom of rum! What if I want you to come stay with me? As a personal favour to me? You are my most favourite cousin, you are never an unwelcomed guest! In fact, I would love it if you'd come.

Then get your arse over here right now, mister!

I, erm... well, there's something else, Andy. I can't really just pop over there like I used to.

Actually, I'm not even sure if I can use a broomstick at this point in the game. And I have no idea who has my motorbike. Perhaps I could go get another one.

Oh, except that all of the money I used to have is in Harry's name. Rats.

Well, perhaps some other time. Or if you wanted to come over here, you're more than welcome.

Why? What's wrong with you? What aren't you telling me?

No. Do not get another bloody motorbike, you KNOW I hate those things!

..Do you need to borrow some money?

Alright, alright! I'm on my way right now!

Odd that I actually see this entry from you, but I suppose I consider you family now.

Judging by the other comments to this, I'd say you need a drink, Sirius. A stiff drink, at that.

Sounds like you could use some financial advise, too. I'm quite talented in that area, not surprisingly.
